This is a supplement to Patty Winter's Disney Benchmarks Page, which locates and describes every reported Disney survey marker.
This page is a comprehensive list of every known type of Disney survey marker.

Board, Club Cool, Test Track, The Living Seas, The Land), MGM Studios
(entrance), Animal Kingdom (Expedition Everest), Blizzard Beach, Typhoon
Lagoon, Transportation & Ticket Center, Downtown Disney
A variety of scribed marks have been found in Florida. Although marks like these could be almost anything, someone has actually seen a surveyor using the Epcot marks for surveying. These marks are classified as temporary because they have been observed to become worn out under foot traffic.

Size: 1.375" diameter (3.5 cm diameter)
Location: Disneyland (Sleeping Beauty Castle)
This appears to be a spike or disk. It is often said that this object is a survey marker that marks the original geographic center of Disneyland. Disney tour guides do say this, but cast members are frequently wrong. There are at least two sources that claim that this marker is not and never was the center of Disneyland. Michelle Smith (The Fabulous Disney Babe) reports information from the late David Mumford (Disney Imagineer) and Ish.Kabibel reports information from Dave Smith (Disney Archivist). Dave Smith has informed me that there is currently no consensus at Walt Disney Imagineering as to the purpose of this marker. I am continuing to investigate and hope to find solid primary references. If you know of any Disney publications that mention this marker, please let me know.

Size: 1.3125", 1.375", 1.875" diameter (3.3, 3.5, 4.8 cm
diameter)
Location: Disneyland (Frontierland, Big Thunder
Trail, Petrified Tree)
These unidentified disks look very similar to the covers for the holes for queue poles. Unlike rubber queue pole hole covers, these disks are metal. Unlike rounded survey marker disks, these disks are flat. Only 3 disks of this type have been found. Perhaps most peculiar is that all 3 disks are different sizes. Currently, there are different opinions about these objects. Some people think that these objects are survey markers. Some people think that these objects might be an unusual kind of queue pole hole cover. A confidential Disney source thinks these objects might be foundation markers. Like the castle marker, this probably cannot be resolved without solid information from Disney.
