BiblioNumis-L is an open, moderated discussion list dealing with all literature having to do with Numismatics (study of coins and similar monetary media, medals, tokens, etc.).
Reviews, discussions, and queries related to the list's topic are welcome. Announcements of new publications, forthcoming auctions, and the like are encouraged. Postings of numismatic bibliographic material for sale or trade (with short descriptions, and with or without prices) are permitted. All sales/trades must be conducted via private E-Mail--not through postings to the list.
To send (post) a new message to all subscribers of BiblioNumis-L:
Address your E-Mail message to <biblionumis-l@netcom.com>. (Note the "-l".)
For Subject: enter a few descriptive words related to the subject matter of your message.
(When replying to a message, the "From: biblionumis-l@netcom.com" will be used as the "To:" address, not the address of the message's author. Likewise, the "Subject:" text supplied by the message's author will be used as the subject in your reply message.)
The body of your message should consist of your comments, and must be concluded with YourFirstName YourLastName <YourMailAddress>.
This will facilitate private mail responses being sent when the message to be sent would not be appropriate for propagation to the entire subscription list.
Feel free to post a message to the list about yourself--your name, your area(s) of interest pertaining to numismatic literature and/or numismatics, your field(s) of endeavor, etc.
Please limit all exchanges to Topics and Subject matter dealing with numismatics in general and numismatic literature in particular.
N.B. Quoting in replies must be the minimum needed for comprehension.
Auctions may not be conducted utilizing the list.
The list is not intended for the exchange of pleasantries.
You are encouraged to tell your E-Mail enabled friends interested in Numismatic Bibliography of the list.
Ask them to subscribe by sending an E-Mail to <listserv@netcom.com>. Leave the "Subject:" blank. In the message's body, they should write these two lines:

end
TheirMailAddress must match the E-Mail address from which they are submitting the subscription request--otherwise, it will "bounce".
Do not include any "signature" lines within the message.
